Tell us a bit about yourself, name, age, location, hobbies?
Hello. My name is Marc from Manila. I love traveling and trying out different cuisines. My hobbies include watching the best football club in the world, Real Madrid and playing video games. I’m a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, Michael Schumacher and Michael Jordan. The best athletes in their respective sports.
What brought you to MyForexFunds?
A friend of mine introduced me to proprietary trading. He was with BlueFX. I searched for other prop firms and found FTMO and MFF. Compared the 2 and found MFF more appealing with their rates, rules and profit split. Started my MFF journey 2 months ago.
Which program did you take? Are you looking at taking another program with us?
I took the Evaluation program. I currently have 1 live and 2 evaluation phase accounts. I’m sticking with evaluation as I think this program best fits my trading style. Plan is to max out the 600k fund with 2 300k accounts then just use a copy trader for single execution of trades.
Tell us a bit about your experience trading with us.
Its quite good. I only started trading forex exactly a year ago and MFF gave me a good opportunity to enhance my skills. Support team is very responsive to my questions. So far I haven’t experienced any glitch or downtime while trading. Hope it continues this way! Spreads are decent compared to other brokers/firms.
Tell us a bit about your trading style/strategy and which instruments you prefer.
I use several technical indicators such as EMAs, Bollinger Bands and RSI. Mostly I go for bounce trades during overbought/oversold conditions using RSI(30) setting. It’s a bit risky and entails a lot of patience for it to work. Luckily it’s been working so far as I made 21/22 trading days profitable past 30 days. My favorite instruments to trade are Gold, BTC, US30/US100, AUDUSD, GBPUSD, USDCAD, USDJPY and USDCHF.
Do you have any advice for aspiring MyForexFunds traders?
Patience, know when and when not to be greedy and don’t quit. Learn how to resist the “Superman Effect”. This happens when you’re winning consecutive trades and feels like you’re Superman who can’t lose. This is one of the riskiest times to trade as you’re feeling unstoppable and going to be prone to mistakes. Your emotions will take over instead of your discipline. Stop the greed and take the day off. Lastly, the biggest teacher in trading is learning from our mistakes and experience. Quitters never win.
What is the total/biggest payout you got from us?
Good enough to feed my family 3x a day. Always stay humble. =)
Any last words? Shout outs?
I want to thank my mentors and friends/members in the best trading group in the Philippines, BOH Society. Wouldn’t be here today without the knowledge and experience our mentors taught us. I’d like to end this with a quote from the goat Michael Jordan that really helped me a lot in my trading career. “To learn to succeed, you must first learn to fail.”
